About SmartFoil...
"It started on a dock with big dreams and a shiny new foil.
Thirty faceplants later, I was wet, frustrated, and had no idea what I was doing wrong.
YouTube tutorials? Useful but didn't give me the feedback I needed.
Three sessions, 200 fails, and a lot of swearing later, I nearly sold my gear.
Then one night, scrolling Instagram, I saw ski tech called CARV that gave skiers instant feedback.
Why wasn’t there anything like that for foiling?
So I had put my Engineering degree to use and built a scrappy prototype that wasn’t pretty, but it worked.
I could see what I was doing wrong and could then see how to improve. I knew I was onto something.
